A fully-finished basement serves as an entertainment room. Relax in the hot tub overlooking the woods, listen to the rushing creek in the back; and enjoy a good book and a warming fire (there are 2!). Do as much or as little as you like – but know that it is all here for you.
The home offers a cozy feel with a screened in porch (perfect for relaxing in the evening), plenty of games for all ages, and an indoor Jacuzzi tub in the master bath. There are DVD players, including one with surround sound, as well as miscellaneous movies. A stereo system plays in the basement and living room. There is a TV is located in almost every room. And if you must do some work, we also offer wireless connection through out the entire house.
If grilling is your thing, there is a gas grill out on the back deck. Alternately, you can dine out at one of the many fine local restaurants including the Top Of the World Restaurant just minutes away and in the same community. Saw Creek Estates also offers 4 outdoor pools (seasonal), 2 indoor pools with hot tubs, a fitness center, basketball, tennis, and racket ball courts; shuffle board; a ski hill in the winter; and miscellaneous events throughout the year for adults and children. You never have to leave the community however, if you decide to do so, there are 2 great ski areas close by: Shawnee Mountain and Camelback (in the summer the latter is a water park called Camelbeach). There is also have lots of shopping, including an outlet mall and a good old flee market. Bushkill Falls is also highly-recommended, and just a few miles away. The Pocono’s also offers an outdoor summer concert theatre, The Mountain Laurel Center for the Performing arts (www.mountainlaurelcenter.com) and the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg (www.shermantheater.com). Whatever your game is, we have it covered: from bowling, movies, golfing – including mini-golf, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, horseback ridding, snow tubing or just looking at nature’s beauty as the seasons change.
The house is heated by electric heat and propane. The fireplace in the basement is propane and there is wood outside for the wood-burning fireplace in the living room. There is an air conditioner unit in the loft that cools the entire house for those extra hot days. Everything is provided for your stay. All you need to bring is yourself and your comfort things. A washer and dryer are also located on the property. Located about 90 minutes from NYC and 2 hours from Philadelphia.
